Devil May Care

I reached the final five for the new James Bond book ‘Devil May Care’ theme song competition. Unfortunately I never won. It was a great experience though and hopefully other things will come from it. I’d like to say a big thanks to Tricia for doing a great job on the vocals.

What they asked for

Create a track that epitomises the excitement and sophistication of Ian Fleming's Bond and your song could become the official Devil May Care theme tune to be featured on the audio book, published by Penguin on 28 May 2008.

Not a lot of time

I only found out about the competition on 2nd Feb, entries had to be in by the 25th Feb so I didn’t have a lot of time as I also had other commitments. Tricia didn’t hear the track until a couple of days before the deadline, then the rush was on to get a mix I was happy with.  It would have been nice to have more time mixing but it was also a good experience having to work to a deadline.

 Tiberian Eclipse

I’m also currently involved in a mod by Solar Fissure for a game called Tiberian Eclipse – progress is looking great, so go and check out the website to see what’s going on and to hear a couple of my tracks.

Here’s a summary of the game

Tiberian Eclipse is a total conversion mod for Crysis that brings the theme of the famous RTS game C&C Tiberian Sun to a whole new genre. BTE will bring the player into the war that rages between Nod and GDI and allow them to battle in the war that in the past has only been seen overhead. We have a lot of key and unique features we plan to implement into our mod that will set us apart from all others.
